TradeSkills assists tradesmen, handymen and others to set up or successfully grow their own business.
To achieve this Tradeskills provides a wide range of building and property maintenance services throughout the Auckland Region.
What is Tradeskills
First set up in 2001 TradeSkills advertises and promotes the collective skills of all contractors in the network. We also provide support and the increased buying power of a much bigger company to small businesses. The aim is to grow your and our business to a satisfactory level.
We are not a another franchise system
Although nationwide (for our other regional offices click Tradeskills New Zealand ) our businesses are run by independent owner operators. We have joined together nationally in order to keep our operating overheads to a minimum and maximise our services to our tradesmen and clients.

Tradesmen, builders and handymen working throughout the city. Often a job done well by one person will mean additional work coming in for someone else. Many jobs require more than one skill set to complete properly and so have the support of many other Tradesmen and business owners

We have been operating in Auckland for a decade. Repeat customers make for great business. To ensure they keep coming back not only for you but for our other tradesmen they need to be looked after well with good service. Fair pricing is essential for this

We assess the work coming in by discussing the job with the client aso we can send it to the most appropriate contractor. This reduces your down time visiting jobs of no value to you. It also means you are not on the phone dealing with unnecessary calls when you need to focus on the work at hand.
Our System
We believe nobody gives better service than a good owner operator.
Our builders and tradesmen are all independent small business owners who know the value of a prompt reliable service.
You will be dealing directly with the client for quoting and have full control of the job if you are the main contractor. We have many other tradesmen who can back you up. You of course have Tradeskills to call on as well.
Work allocation
When a customer contacts us we discuss their requirements with them and clarify any issues. We then allocate the job to one (and only one!) appropriate tradesman based on their skill set, location and availability.
In order to do this we must be convinced that you will - Provide a prompt, reliable service. this may mean promptly turning a job down
- Guarantee your own work.
- Have public liability insurance where required
- Any work from us is given the same priority as your own clients
- Have good communication skills. Clear concise communications with us and the clients is vital.
Payment
After payment of a one-off, one-time-only joining fee, all further payments are based on the income you receive from work we send you and repeat work from our clients. Payments relate directly to work you undertake. If we don't find you the work, you don't pay us!

Handyman
Do you have the skills to start a handyman business. Would you like more work for an existing business with low set up fees. We are looking for handymen in certain parts of the Auckland Region. Handyman covers a wide range of skills from outdoor gardening and maintenance to skilled carpentry fix-it jobs, plastering and painting jobs.
Builders
Do I need to be a Certified Building Practitioner?
No but we do have specialized work for LBPs. There is a wide range of work available which does not require a LBP but you do have to have the skills to perform these building jobs competently and for a fair price.

Painters
We require painters for both large and small painting work in a number of Auckland regions. if you have what it takes call us
Tradesmen
We are looking for Electricians and Plumbers in some areas.
